How do the candidates for Oregon Senate District 3 – the seat formerly held by Dr. Alan Bates and then by Alan DeBoer – stand on key community issues such as…
- Stable rents?
- Affordable housing?
- Corporate taxes to fund education?
- Tax reform?
- Racial justice and immigration rights?
- Paid family and medical leave?
- Jobs and climate action?
As a public service, the Rogue Action Center asked all candidates who filed for the May primary, regardless of party, to provide written answers to questions on those issues.
Julian Bell, Athena Goldberg, Jeff Golden, and Kevin Stine provided answers, which are posted on the Rogue Action Center’s website here.
Curt Ankerberg and Jessica Gomez declined to respond to the questionnaire.
The Rogue Action Center is an independent, nonprofit hub for community organizing for economic, social, racial, and climate justice.
We believe that voters deserve specific commitments from candidates, regardless of party, instead of “trust me” rhetoric that too often results in policies that benefit only corporate special interests and the wealthiest elites.
The Rogue Action Center does not endorse candidates for public office.
