“Three Visions of Our Monument,” an exhibit by the three 2017 Artists in Residence at the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, will open at the First Friday Art Walk on September 1, 5 to 8 pm, at the Ashland Art Center, 357 E. Main St., Ashland.
Works by painters Mabrie Ormes and Darlene Southworth and photographer Matt Witt will be displayed in the Studio Artists Gallery on the second floor of the Art Center for the month of September.
Mabrie Ormes has a Master’s degree in painting and drawing from the University of Colorado in Boulder and has been self-supporting as a fine artist for over 25 years.
Darlene Southworth creates works in watercolor and mixed media. She combines botanical observations with the form and color of landscapes and structures.
Matt Witt is a photographer and writer in Talent who has previously been selected as Artist in Residence at Crater Lake National Park, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, and PLAYA at Summer Lake, Oregon.
